Last weekend, two of my girls had a singing/acting/dancing performance that they sold me a ticket to awhile ago. I attended the show and took them a little flower and card for a job well done. One of those students came up to me today.
"Miss H. I have a card that I want to give you to thank you for the flowers."
"Okay. That's nice!"
"But, I don't have it right now. My mom has it at home. She's going to put something with it."
"Sounds good. I'll act surprised when you bring it."
"Okay! Now, forget I ever told you," she says as she waves her hands back and forth in an erasing motion in front of my face.
