Every day as my students leave, they give me a high-five, hand burst, finger five, or lately, a head-butt five. They're getting weirder every day. Anyway, as they were leaving today, one little girl puckered up for a kiss. I just looked at her, and she kind of startled herself and snapped out of wherever she was and proceeded to say, "You're not my mom," and gave me a high-five. I said, "No, I'm not, so don't try that stuff, okay?" :)
I've been called just about everything other than teacher--Mom, Dad, Ms. So-and-So, Grandma (?!), but the goodbye kiss attempt was a new one for me.
