I hate apples. I do not decorate my classroom or my home with them. When your children bring me one, bruised and beaten from their backpacks, I appreciate the thought, but I throw them away at the end of the day. Why does everyone think teachers like apples?

you should take the bruised and beaten ones and cut them up and make apple fritters or apple tarts or something of the sort! I'm not sure where people got the idea either.
