"Teacher, did you know that Sam loves me?"
I stopped and looked at her. "He does? I didn't know that. Tell me about it."
"Well, I know he loves me because he gave me a stuffed animal for Valentine's Day, and he didn't give that to the other girls."
"Sounds special."
"Yeah, so I went and bought him a giant candy at the store and gave it to him. He liked it. Now he follows me everywhere and always stands by me. It's kind of embarrassing."
"Good luck with that, Sweetie."
